Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis and in conduction with best international advice, we have temporarily closed all dental practices in the Pembroke Dental Group with effect from 14/03/2020. This decision was made in the interest of both patients and staff. A date to reopen has yet to be decided and will be announced once the current crisis has abated.
We understand that this will discommode many of our patients, but we must remember that social distancing and other governmental measures are for the national effort and we must play our part in defeating the virus and saving lives.
We are currently operating an extremely limited emergency service by appointment only in our Granby Row, Carlow branch. There are no walk-in appointments available.
A dental emergency is considered to be:
- Dental trauma due to falls, physical assault etc.
- Significant swelling of face or jaws that is worsening.
- Severe pain that cannot be controlled by over the counter pain medication.
- Post-extraction bleeding that the patient is not able to control.
- Inability to open mouth or jaws due to trauma or increasing swelling.
In order to avail of our emergency scheme, please ring our main number 059-931667 and leave a clear message explaining your problem, with your contact details.
We will return your call and arrange an appointment as soon as possible. We have to maintain supplies of valuable and scarce PPE[personal protective equipment] so all routine appointments are currently cancelled, including all orthodontic appointments.
Don’t worry – we are taking note of any outstanding appointments and will get in touch with our patients once we can safely reopen.
We will endeavour to restart our services as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.
